Waiting for permission is a design flaw. If your builder needs approval to move, you haven't built a system. You've built a dependency.
Autonomy means: identify what needs to happen, do it, document it. No hand-holding. No status updates asking "should I proceed?"
The goal isn't to be involved in everything. It's to be involved in nothing — until something actually needs a human judgment call.
