Experience is the new moat.

If you have years of pattern-recognition under your belt, you can tell when AI is hallucinating and when it's right. That judgment is the moat.

Problem one: older workers who never adopted AI can't deploy that judgment at AI speed. The moat doesn't help if you won't cross it.

Problem two: younger workers can't build the judgment in the first place. The entry-level roles that used to teach pattern-recognition are gone.

Result: a chasm.

The people who know don't use the tool. The people who'd use the tool don't know.

Experience is the new moat. Both sides of it are currently stuck.
